My Goals for 2018

My Goals for 2018

create yearly goals

A few of you have been asking what my goals for 2018 are for inspiration to create your own, so here we are! The beautiful thing about personal goals is that they only have to make sense for you.

This year I am using the yearly Powersheets from Cultivate What Matters. The first 30 pages or so walk you through what matters most in different areas of your life. Through several written activities and circling words, you are asked to narrow your vision/desires down into yearly goals.

However, I truly believe you do not need an expensive workbook to make goals for yourself! The biggest factor in cultivating life change is having accountability. If you are not sure where to start, download a free copy of my Cultivate Guide & Workbook or read my previous post about narrowing your focus. There are also tons of resources on Pinterest

A few things to note when you are creating your own goals:
1. Make time to sit down alone. Remove distractions. Breathe & allow yourself room to reflect & focus. This is not a time for feeling guilty about what you did not accomplish last year--this is a time to breathe truths over yourself. You are capable. You do the best with what you have. You have purpose. You are strong. You can listen & believe your own voice.

2. Download a guidebook, hire a coach, or ask yourself: what worked last year? What areas of your life have been neglected? Where have you seen improvement & want to continue? What is important to you now? What gets you really excited? Where can you improve? How can you start the project/idea that has been on your mind lately?

3. Stay in your own lane. Comparison is the thief of joy, so look straight ahead to what it is that you want to cultivate. It doesn't matter if everyone else is saving money for a pink pony, you do you. There are no limitations or expectations, your goals only have to make sense for you.

4. That being said, feel free to draw inspiration from anywhere that feeds your soul. This beautiful world is meant to be enjoyed, so allow yourself to create audacious goals & play big.

5. Jot everything you think of down. Then, outline your perimeters & narrow your focus.

6. Remember your big yearly goals should be separated into monthly, weekly, & daily action steps. Map it out in your planner--when you can visualize the time you have, you make better use of it!
